Falafel
Ingredients
- 2 (15-ounce) cans chickpeas, rinsed and drained
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Olive oil for frying
Instructions
- In a food processor, pulse chickpeas to desired texture (less time for chunkier pieces of chickpeas).
- Transfer chickpeas to a large bowl and add all other ingredients. Combine into a rough paste.
- Shape mixture into tablespoon-sized disks, about 1-inch in diameter.
- Add about 1 inch of oil into a skillet. Heat to 360°F.
- Fry over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove falafel from oil and drain on paper towels.
