Daiquiri
This drink is a classic for a reason and there are numerous versions. I keep mine simple by using a white rum from the Dominican Republic – Vizcaya Cristal. This can be hard to find so use your favorite flavorful white rum. -Elizabeth
Ingredients
- 2 oz white rum
- 1 oz lime juice, freshly squeezed
- 1 oz simple syrup
- Lime wheel for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Add all ingredients (minus lime wheel) to a shaker and fill with enough ice to cover all the liquid.
- Shake until very cold (20-30 seconds) and double strain into a chilled coupe, martini or nick and nora glass. Can also strain into a rocks glass filled with ice cubes or an ice ball.
Note
- Double strain or fine straining means to strain the drink through two strainers: a cocktail strainer and a fine mesh strainer.
