Barbecued Meatballs

First recipe in the new slow cooker! Modified from a recipe on About.com.

Ingredients

  • 2 packages (1-pound each) precooked meatballs (can be turkey, chicken, pork or beef)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • ½ cup chili sauce
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup beef broth
  • ¼ cup steak sauce
  • 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 15oz can tomato sauce

Instructions

  1. Place meatballs in 3-4 quart crockpot.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine remaining ingredients, then pour into crockpot. stir together the meatballs and sauce.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours until meatballs are hot and tender.
  4. Serve over hot cooked rice or noodles.

Note

  • These make a great appetizer!

Cook Time: 6 hours
Yield: Serves 4-6
