Easy Almond Cake
Stock up on the almond paste (does Sam’s Club sell it by the case?), because you’ll want to make this cake A LOT. Quick, easy and delectable. – Terry

Ingredients
- ¾ cup sugar
- 1 stick (8 Tbsp) butter, room temperature
- 1 egg
- ½ cup almond paste (marzipan)
- 1 cup flour
- sliced almonds to cover top (about ⅓ cup)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Beat sugar and butter until creamy. Add egg, beat until smooth. Add almond paste, stir until blended. Stir in flour.
Pour into a greased 9″ square or round pan. Sprinkle with almonds.
Bake 35 minutes or until done.
