Baked Buffalo Shrimp
Recipe from Laura’s friend, Rachel.
Rachel’s comments: this is one of our go to meals. We put the shrimp on a salad with baby tomatoes, celery, carrots, and blue cheese.
Ingredients
- ⅓ pound (approx. 20) uncooked shrimp, peeled
- 1 cup egg whites, whisked
- 1 cup panko bread crumbs
- ½ cup Franks Hot Sauce
- Variety of additional hot sauces
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F and prepare a baking sheet with Pam/olive oil.
- Dredge shrimp in egg whites then cover in panko breading. Place breaded shrimp on baking sheet.
- Bake in oven for 10 minutes or until golden brown, flipping shrimp half-way through.
- In a medium bowl, combine Franks and additional hot sauce in bowl. Add shrimp and toss until evenly coated.
- Place shrimp back on baking sheet and cook for another 2-3 minutes to allow the sauce to soak into the shrimp.
- Serve over salad or as an appetizer with blue cheese dressing to dip.
