Chocolate Shot Cookies
A favorite from Aunt Gay: “It actually is a recipe from the lawyer who helped us when we divided Hancock and signed final papers so many years ago. We all had a picnic on the shore and this fellow’s wife brought these cookies.”
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup confectioner’s sugar
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1½ cups flour
- bit of salt
- 1 cup old-fashioned oatmeal
Instructions
Mix it all up! Make two rolls on waxed paper, probably about 12 to 15 inches long and 1 to 2 inches in diameter. Roll these in chocolate sprinkles so they are completely covered. Refrigerate and bake off any time you want. Slice about 1/4 inch thick and back at 325°F until just barely tan. Yum Yum Yummy!
