Jeera Rice

Ingredients

  • 4 tsp ghee or a neutral oil (canola or vegetable)
  • 4 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 cups cooked basmati rice
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat a large saucepan over medium heat. Add ghee/oil and cumin seeds and cook 30 seconds.
  2. Add cooked rice and salt and mix gently.
  3. Add cilantro and mix gently.

Note

  • This is the rice to serve with Malai Kofta, although would be delicious with any complimentary main dish.
