Lemon Drop
This is one of the first cocktails I learned to make. It is now in rotation for summer get togethers because it is refreshing and easy to make. -Elizabeth
Ingredients
- 2 oz vodka
- 1 oz lemon juice, freshly squeezed and run through a fine strainer
- 1 oz simple syrup
- 1 teaspoon orange liquor
- 2 dashes orange bitters
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a shaker. Fill with enough ice to cover all of the liquid.
- Shake until very cold, 20-30 seconds.
- Strain into a chilled coupe, martini or nick and nora glass. Can also strain into a rocks glass with ice cubes or a large ice ball.
- Garnish with a lemon peel or lemon wedge (for the rocks glass).
Note
- Simple syrup is equal parts water and granulated sugar. Heat the water and sugar until the sugar is dissolved. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
- Easy to batch this cocktail. Add the ingredients for however many desired drinks to a pitcher and shake as needed.
