Sour Cream Coffee Cake

Ingredients
- ½ cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs, at room temperature
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1½ cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 teaspoon vanilla
- ½ cup nuts, chopped (walnuts or pecans)
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350° F. Butter an 8″x8″ or 9″x9″ square pan.
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs, one at a time, and vanilla, mixing all the while.
- Add sour cream, flour, baking soda, baking powder.
- In a small bowl, mix together nuts, sugar and cinnamon.
- Pour ½ of the batter in the pan and sprinkle with 2/3 of the nut mixture. Pour in remaining batter and top with remaining nut mixture.
- Bake for 40 – 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
