Baked Buffalo Shrimp
Recipe from Laura's friend, Rachel Steigerwald.
Rachel’s comments: this is one of our go to meals. We put the shrimp on a salad with baby tomatoes, celery, carrots, and blue cheese.
INGREDIENTS
- ⅓ pound (approx. 20) uncooked shrimp, peeled
- 1 cup egg whites
- 1 cup panko bread crumbs
- ½ cup Franks Hot Sauce
- Variety of additional hot sauces
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 400°F and prepare a baking sheet with Pam/olive oil.
Dredge shrimp in egg whites then cover in panko breading. Place breaded shrimp on baking sheet.
Bake in oven for 10 minutes or until golden brown, flipping shrimp half-way through.
Combine Franks and additional hot sauce in bowl. Add shrimp and toss until evenly coated.
Place shrimp back on baking sheet and cook for another 2-3 minutes to allow the sauce to soak in to the shrimp.
Serve over salad or as an appetizer with blue cheese dressing to dip.
