Pumpkin Bars

I added a little nutmeg and cloves to the batter.  Probably about ¼ tsp of each.  Could use a little more so it tastes more like pumpkin pie.

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups canned pumpkin
  • ¾ cup melted margarine
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts (I didn’t use, but would be very yummy!)

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 325°F.  Cream eggs and sugar.  Add the rest of the ingredients in the order given.  Beat until well mixed.  Pour into a greased 11”x17” jelly roll pan.  Bake 25 minutes.  Cool and frost.
